At least 40 people have died after a bus plunged into a ravine in Pakistan, local officials said on Friday.
A passenger bus en route from Quetta to Peshawar plunged into a deep ravine in the mountainous Dana Sar area, said Sanaullah Sherani, head of the rescue service in Zhob district in western Pakistan.
The bus was reportedly overcrowded after passengers from another bus were taken aboard when it broke down. According to local authorities, the driver lost control of the bus.
According to the rescue services, 11 people were injured in the accident.
