Two people, including a four-year-old child, were killed in the town of Zawaida in the central part of the area on Sunday, the Hamas-controlled Civil Defense said. Several people were also reportedly injured in that attack.
Another person was killed in an attack on the Nuseirat refugee camp.
The Israeli military said the target of one of the attacks was a terrorist, but made no further comments.
A ceasefire has existed between Hamas, which is labeled a terrorist group, and Israel since October, but violence has continued, albeit at a lower intensity.
