The bus went off the road and plunged into a ravine on Friday, local rescue services said. More than 40 people were also injured, and authorities warn that the death toll could rise.
The accident is one of the deadliest in the country in recent years. Last year, 18 people died when a bus veered off the road near the capital, Algiers.
