In an attack that damaged residential buildings and a medical facility, five people were killed, according to the military in Kyiv. More than 20 people were injured there.
"The upper floors of a nine-storey residential building have collapsed and a fire has broken out," Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said on the Telegram messaging app, adding that people elsewhere were trapped after the attack.
In an attack in Brovary, Ukraine, one person was killed and one injured.
Kyiv has been under attack almost every night recently, but Ukraine has also increased its attacks on Russia in recent months, partly to pressure Moscow into negotiations after nearly four and a half years of war.
