Armed groups are blamed for the attack that occurred on Friday night. A vehicle loaded with explosives was driven into a border checkpoint in the northwestern province bordering Afghanistan.
Military personnel, police officers and government officials are reported to be among those killed.
"Fifteen brave sons made the ultimate sacrifice and achieved martyrdom," the military's media department said.
