Eight people were killed when several residential buildings were hit overnight into Sunday, and another five people were killed later in the day, according to Civil Defense.
This comes shortly after Hamas, which is designated a terrorist group, confirmed that it has agreed to the US peace deal. The plan includes points such as Hamas handing over its weapons and a gradual withdrawal of Israeli forces from the Gaza Strip.
Israel has not officially commented on the deal yet, but an Israeli source says that no withdrawal will take place until Hamas completely gives up its weapons.
