The attacks were reported to have been carried out during the day on Monday and targeted several locations in southern Saudi Arabia.
According to the spokesman, the Houthi movement attacked "civilian targets in the cities of Khamis Mushait, Abha and Taif with a number of ballistic missiles and drones, resulting in light to moderate injuries to 13 civilians and damage to seven houses and two vehicles."
Saudi Arabia promised on Tuesday to respond "forcefully" to the Houthi attacks.
On Monday, reports emerged that the Iran-backed Houthis had further expanded their offensive in Yemen. The movement claims to have taken control of several strategically located islands in the southern Red Sea.
