Two buses were hit in Russian attacks on Kramatorsk, according to local authorities. Another 20 people were injured, Donetsk Governor Vadym Filashkin announced on Telegram.

Photos published by the governor show a burned-out bus by the roadside.

"These are not 'consequences of war' or dry statistics. These are people killed by the Russian army," he wrote.

On Thursday morning, explosions were heard in Kyiv, according to Ukrainian public broadcaster Suspilne. Mayor Vitaliy Klychko wrote on Telegram that three people had been killed in the capital, two of them in an attack on a large business premises.

On Wednesday, around 30 people - including several children - were killed in major Russian attacks on Ukraine. In Pryluky, east of Kyiv, at least 22 people lost their lives when large parts of a five-story building were destroyed by a Russian cruise missile.
