The accident on Thursday occurred in the Pakpattan region of Punjab, according to hospital representatives. More than 30 injured people were taken there.
Cranes and heavy construction vehicles worked for several hours to remove the injured from the accident site. Hospitals were placed on lockdown because of the extensive damage.
Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari offered his condolences to the families of the deceased.
