A district court had awarded the theme park 28 million kronor in damages, but the Svea Court of Appeal overturned that ruling, reports Dagens Vimmerby.
In the summer of 2020, Astrid Lindgren's World was forced to close because the Police Authority counted the number of visitors per theater performance across the park, even though the performances took place in different locations.
The district court concluded that this was wrong, but the court of appeal found the authority had not committed an error that would give rise to damages. Astrid Lindgren's World must also pay the state's legal costs of just over 1.1 million kronor.
