A person was suffocated to death when their personal assistant fell asleep. Now the assistant is being prosecuted for causing another person's death, reports SVT News Norrbotten.

The death occurred in the spring in Haparanda. According to the prosecutor, the personal assistant has committed the act of negligence.

It is an accident and of course nothing the assistant wished would happen. But the task is clear and the main work task was to exercise supervision and care, says prosecutor Joseph Ricken to SVT.

The assistant admits the course of events, but denies crime.
