The lock giant Assa Abloy made a profit before tax and one-off items of 4,766 million kronor for the first quarter, up from a profit of 4,616 million for the same period last year.
The profit was slightly better than the analysts' expectations, according to Bloomberg's forecast compilation.
Sales revenues increased by 8 per cent to 37.9 billion kronor.
"We are convinced that our strategy will deliver accelerated growth over time, even though current market conditions are challenging and uncertain", writes CEO Nico Delvaux in the quarterly report.
