The lock and security company Assa Abloy, listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange, has been subjected to a hacker attack by a group that is now demanding money from the company, reports DN.
According to the newspaper, it is a criminal group called Cactus that has gained access to data and is now demanding a ransom.
In a comment to DN, Assa Abloy's communications manager Christiane Belfrage says that it is an IT incident caused by a third party and that the company's internal investigation has shown that they "have gained access to certain data from a few local servers in Sweden, mainly internal information".
The company does not believe that it will have any "material financial impact".
