ASML Raises 2026 Sales Forecast as Chip Demand Outstrips Supply

Dutch ASML - a leading manufacturer of equipment for the semiconductor industry - is raising its sales forecast. Demand is expected to exceed supply.

Following the market turmoil surrounding AI companies over the past 24 hours, ASML has reported strong third-quarter results. The company, Europe's most valuable listed company, is raising its sales forecast for 2026 after third-quarter profit reached 5 billion euros, compared with 2.1 billion euros in the same period in 2025.

ASML, the only company that manufactures advanced lithography machines used to produce microchips, also says demand for 2027–28 is so strong that it cannot be met. Some customers are instead being allowed to place orders for delivery in 2029 and even 2030.
