It was after half an hour of play that the warning was issued. Poland's Ewa Pajor pulled Kosovare Asllani's jersey, and the Swedish team captain responded in the same way.

When Asllani arrives at the interview zone outside Swissporarena in Lucerne, the evening has begun to turn into night. She is happy about the victory, but quite irritated with the Italian referee Maria Sole Ferrieri Caputi.

She pulls me down and it's a clear free kick that I should have with me. And then I get a free kick against me and a yellow card, completely unbelievable. So I was really, really damned, says Kosovare Asllani.

Yellow cards are not just formalities during a championship. Two warnings in total mean that you will be suspended in the next match.

All the cards you have collected are erased after the quarterfinals, but for Asllani's part, it means that she must be careful in Saturday's group final against Germany.

You know my playing style. Of course, it can affect, says the 35-year-old midfielder.

I have to think about it. It would be stupid not to think about it. That's what's irritating, because I don't want to go into a match with the knowledge that I can be suspended.

With at least a draw against Germany, Sweden wins group C and plays the quarterfinal in Zurich on Thursday next week. With a loss, Sweden becomes second, which instead gives a quarterfinal in Bern two days later.
