A cautious joy could be discerned on the leading Asian stock exchanges during the first hours of Friday trading.
In Tokyo, both Nikkei 225 and Topix had grown by 0.8 per cent by lunchtime.
It was equally cheerful in Hong Kong, with the Hang Seng adding 0.8 per cent.
The upbeat tones were also noted in Shenzhen's composite index, which climbed by 0.7 per cent, while the composite index in Shanghai fluctuated around zero.
A cautious approval was heard from South Korea's Kospi index as the Kospi index increased by 0.2 per cent.
