The leading stock market indexes in Asia seem to be responding positively to the ongoing trade talks between the US and China in morning trading.
On the Tokyo stock exchange, the Nikkei 225 index had risen by around 1.0 percent and the broader Topix by around 0.6.
In Hong Kong, the Hang Seng index showed an increase of 0.2, while in Shanghai it had risen by around 0.1.
Shenzhen, however, is showing negative figures, down 0.2 percent.
