The stock exchanges in the USA rose significantly on Monday – and on Tuesday it was Asia's turn.
The Japanese Nikkei 225 was up 1.5 percent at lunchtime, while the South Korean Kospi had risen by 1.2 percent. During morning trading, both indexes hit records.
Among other things, it has gone well for several stocks within the countries' automotive industry. Hyundai Motor is rising by 6.5 percent while Kia is rising by 2.9 percent.
The stock exchanges are also rising sharply in China. Shanghai is climbing by 1.2 percent while Shenzhen is increasing by 2.0 percent.
The Hong Kong-based Hang Seng is rising by 1.8 percent.
