The major indices in Asia follow in Wall Street's footsteps and decline during the last trading day of the week.

On Thursday evening, the leading indexes of the New York Stock Exchange closed in negative figures, and the uncertainty surrounding the AI sector continues. The development is also visible in Asia.

The Japanese Nikkei 225 index has lost 1.7 percent in early trading on Friday, and the broader Topix has fallen 0.8 percent.

China's Shenzhen falls 1.1 percent while the Shanghai Composite Index is down 0.2 percent.

South Korea's Kospi is down 2.3 percent at noon, and the Hong Kong-based Hang Seng is down 1.2 percent.
