All the major indices in Asia are in negative territory after fresh attacks around the Strait of Hormuz.
Japan's Nikkei 225 is down 2.6 percent, while the broader Topix is down 2.2 percent.
South Korea's Kospi is down 3.0 percent.
Hong Kong's Hang Seng falls 1.2 percent.
Shanghai is down 0.9 percent and Shenzhen 2.1 percent.
