The Japanese Nikkei 225 index has fallen by 1.0 percent at the lunch closing, but the broader Topix has fallen even more, 1.7.
It is also going downwards for Shenzhen's composite index, by 1.7 percent. For Shanghai's equivalent, it has gone slightly better, but it is still down 0.3 percent.
The Hang Seng index in Hong Kong follows the pattern and shows minus 1.0.
