Asador Etxebarri Named World’s Best Restaurant, Sweden’s Vyn Ranks 23rd

The Basque restaurant run by Victor Arguinzoniz has climbed from second place last year to top the list of The World's 50 Best Restaurants.

Only two Swedish restaurants have made the top 100.

Vyn, run by Daniel Berlin in the municipality of Simrishamn in Skåne, has climbed from 47th place last year to overtake Frantzén, in 58th place, as Sweden's best restaurant. Vyn has two Michelin stars, while Frantzén has three.

The list is compiled by a jury of more than 1,000 chefs, restaurateurs, food writers and gastronomes.
