Lois Boisson has got the home supporters to cheer and a whole tennis world to lose its jaw. Time after time.
The 22-year-old Frenchwoman, ranked 361 in the world, has racked up victories and knocked out three seeded players – including world number one Jessica Pegula, USA – on her way to the semifinals.
However, it was a sudden stop.
Coco Gauff shone, won the four first games in the match and stormed to a single victory with 6–1, 6–2.

In the stars' battle in the first semifinal, world number one Aryna Sabalenka, Belarus, swept away clay queen Iga Swiatek, Poland, from the Paristone with 7–6, 4–6, 6–0.
“The job is not done yet”
Swiatek stood on 26 consecutive match wins at Roland Garros after four title wins, including three in a row in the past three years.
It feels completely unbelievable, but the job is not done yet, says Sabalenka, the three-time grand slam winner who now makes her final debut in Paris.
After an expected duel in the two first sets, Sabalenka swept the floor with a dethroned champion in the third and decisive set.
