It was a Swedish-flavored Tottenham that visited arch-rival Arsenal in a scorching "North London Derby".
Dejan Kulusevski started as usual on his right flank, but more surprisingly, Lucas Bergvall also got the chance to start in one of the season's most important matches for Tottenham.
But despite this, there was no win this time either for "Spurs". Since November 3, the team has only won two matches in the league, and is currently as low as 13th place in the Premier League.
Not even close to acceptable, especially not in the first half. We were too passive, says Tottenham coach Ange Postecoglou.
However, it was the away team that started the best. Son Heung-Min silenced the red sea at Emirates Stadium when he scored 1-0 for Tottenham in the first half. The goal came somewhat surprisingly, as Arsenal controlled most of the game.
But the equalizer would come. The equalizer came, as so many times this season, on a corner in the 40th minute, and just four minutes later, Leandro Trossard scored 2-1 for the home team. A goal that would also be the decisive one.
Arsenal has now six straight derbies against Tottenham without a loss. Five of them have ended in a win. For Arsenal's part, the win means they again pass Nottingham Forest in the table, up to second place.
We played incredibly well, says Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta, according to AFP.
He answers yes to whether Arsenal is now back in the title hunt.
Yes, we are. There's so much to play for, and we see how tough it's going to be for each and every team.
And winning the derby was, of course, according to Arteta, something extra:
Playing the season's match in front of our fans was a test of who we are, courage and what we stand for. It was clear from the start that we deserved to win this match.
