Arsenal will play in the Champions League next season. This is clear after the London team's 1-0 win over Newcastle in the Premier League football.

Alexander Isak was missing from the match squad. Before the match, the club stated that the Swede has a slight groin injury that prevented him from playing.

In Isak's absence, Newcastle lost away to Arsenal, and missed the chance to secure Champions League play (top five in the league).

Newcastle will get a new chance in a week in the last round of the Premier League, when Newcastle face Everton.

The match's only goal was scored by Arsenal's midfielder Declan Rice. In the 55th minute, the Englishman struck with a thunderbolt that Nick Pope in the Newcastle goal could not do anything about.
