Arsenal's team captain Martin Ødegaard will be out for a longer period after the ankle injury he sustained during national team duty with Norway.
According to Arsenal's manager Mikel Arteta, the injury is worse than feared.
According to Norway's national team doctor, Ødegaard would be out for at least three weeks, but according to Arteta, there is no such message yet.
After the X-ray, it turned out that there were injuries, especially to one of the ligaments in the ankle, so he will be missing, says Arteta at a press conference ahead of Arsenal's Champions League match against Atalanta on Thursday.
I don't want to set a timeframe, because I'm not a doctor, but it's a significant injury, so he'll be out for a while – hopefully not months, but we'll see, says Arteta.
