Several Swedes are part of the Global Sumud Flotilla convoy, which was fired upon by Israeli military boats west of Crete on Thursday. The convoy's boats were stopped in international waters and the convoy's organizers claim that Israel acted unlawfully.

On Friday, around 175 activists were taken on buses in Crete. It is unclear where they were taken. Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar has thanked Greece for its cooperation.

The convoy consists of a total of nearly 60 boats and over 400 people. The aim, according to the organizers, is to deliver emergency aid and break Israel's blockade of the Gaza Strip.
