The man was recently arrested at a park in central Stockholm, where he is suspected of selling alcohol to minors. Around 20 bottles of alcohol were seized in connection with the arrest, the newspaper writes.
The 18-year-old is also suspected of having previously sold alcohol to girls who became severely alcohol-intoxicated.
"My opinion is that unfortunately young people are still taking the risks involved in buying alcohol. It is clearly problematic and worrying. The alcohol that is sold is not classified as drinkable, and almost all bottles that are sent for analysis after the seizures we make have been found to contain toxic and harmful substances," says municipal police officer Ola Åkesson to Mitt i.
In mid-October, severely injured teenagers in the Stockholm area were taken to hospital after drinking hard liquor. A total of twelve young people received treatment over the course of a single weekend. All of them made a full recovery.
