One of the two confirmed dead was found Sunday evening local time near Crystal Rapids along the Colorado River, park officials said. The circumstances surrounding the other fatality have not been released.
Warnings of new storms, with rain and thunder, meant that the search for missing people could be made more difficult. Visitors to the national park, especially along the Bright Angel Creek river, were evacuated.
The flash flood has also knocked out the only water main that supplies tourists and residents of the national park with water, the national park announced.
