"We currently have around a hundred reports, and more are coming in all the time," the head of the environmental unit in the affected municipality tells the newspaper.
A representative for the company that owns the restaurants told the newspaper that salmon is suspected to be the cause of the outbreak. Many of those affected have contacted the restaurants, she said.
"Some are understanding, others are not. Those who have been sick are, of course, very upset, which is understandable, but opinions are very divided," the representative says.
The restaurants, located in Västra Götaland, have closed while awaiting test results.
