Armie Hammer back in the heat

Armie Hammer's exile from the film industry seems to be over. The actor, who has kept a low profile for more than three years after allegations of sexual abuse, has now landed a role in the western film "Frontier Crucible", writes Variety.

"I've made a career out of breaking taboos while always striving for good films. This is the perfect blend. I look forward to working with Armie Hammer on this incredible western, a genre I love", says producer Dallas Sonnier in a comment.

Recording of the independently financed film will begin next month in Arizona. In a post on Instagram, Hammer poses in a cowboy hat and with a script in his lap, writing "Back in the saddle again".

Hammer, who is best known for films like "The Social Network" and "Call Me By Your Name", fell out of favor at the beginning of 2021 after being accused of rape, sexual assault, and cannibalistic fantasies. He was forced to leave several high-profile projects and was abandoned by his publicist and agent.

However, no charges were ever brought against Hammer – who has consistently denied the allegations and claimed that all relationships were based on mutual consent.

Earlier this week, he announced the launch of "The Armie Hammer Time Podcast" with the description: "Armie sits down with extraordinary people on a journey through life while building his own".
