The technical problem discovered a week ago has led to canceled operations, but the Armed Forces have now delivered a container-based sterilization center.
"It will be put into operation as soon as the equipment and installation have been validated and approved," Region Gotland writes in a press release.
Hospital management has gone into reinforcement mode because of the problems with the sterilization process.
"Our goal is to continue to maintain normal treatment times, restore regular operations, manage the effects of canceled surgeries and work towards redundancy at the sterilization center," says Director of Health and Medical Services Marie Loob.
