In February, the Swedish-American pole vault star released his debut single "Bop". "Mondo" jumped to the song when he set his eleventh and latest World Championship record, 6.27 meters in Clermont-Ferrand, France, on February 28.

This summer, the 25-year-old hopes to release his second single, he tells at a press conference before Sunday's Diamond League athletics gala in Stockholm.

I just thought that if I'm going to release something, I'll try to do it now. It's hard to explain my own song, but I like it very much anyway. I think that's the most important thing, says Armand Duplantis.

In October, he got engaged to his fiancée Desiré Inglander and the couple plans to get married next year. The upcoming single is called "4L". He wrote it earlier in the spring when he was in Louisiana, USA, during his latest training period.

What does it stand for?

"For life", if you are with someone forever. It's a bit more love-driven. It's also cool. It's a bit more personal, says "Mondo".
