The cooperative dairy company Arla will reduce the price it pays to farmers for conventional milk in November, they announced in a press release. The compensation for organic milk will remain at the same level as before.
"Right now there is a lot of milk in the world, which is putting pressure on prices on international markets," says Arla CEO Cecilia Kocken in a press release.
The price reduction means that the so-called advance price will end at 549.1 öre per kilo for conventional milk and will remain at 706.5 öre per kilo for organic.
