Yair Netanyahu, the son of Israel's prime minister, has been nominated for a board position at the World Zionist Organization (WZO). The proposal is "unacceptable," according to vice chairman Yizhar Hess.

The appointment of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's son Yair Netanyahu was announced on Wednesday evening after broad agreement had been reached on other key appointments.

According to Yizhar Hess, national institutions were then close to a “historic, balanced agreement that would have united the Jewish people.” But an agreement that gives Yair Netanyahu a position in any of the national institutions is “not an option,” he claims in a statement, The Times of Israel reports.

Yair Netanyahu lives in Miami, USA, and would need to return to Israel to take the job.
