”The savant” would have had its premiere on Friday, but two days before the premiere, AppleTV+ announces that the series is postponed to an indefinite time.
”After careful consideration, we have made the decision to postpone ’The savant’. We ask for understanding and look forward to releasing the series at a later time", writes AppleTV+ in a statement to Variety.
”The savant" is based on a true event about a female intelligence analyst who pretends to be a right-wing extremist on various online forums in search of people planning mass murder. But soon she herself becomes a target for threats and it seems that there are people within her organization who collaborate with the extremists.
The lead role is played by Oscar-winning actress Jessica Chastain.
