The tech giant has infringed two of Taction's patents, according to a jury in the US state of California.
According to the ruling, Apple will pay just over $5.7 billion, equivalent to 56.5 billion kronor, in damages,CNBC reports.
Taction Technology sued Apple in 2021. The case was initially dismissed in 2023, but a higher court later ruled that it should be reopened.
Apple says the company "does not use Taction's technology" and that it will appeal the ruling, US media report.
