Nvidia fell 3.7 percent in early trading on Wall Street on Friday, pushing the U.S. chipmaker's market value to $4.8 trillion. Apple climbed 0.4 percent to a market value of $4.9 trillion, Bloomberg reports.
After less than an hour of trading, however, Apple had fallen back and was down 0.8 percent, while Nvidia recovered slightly to minus 1.2 percent. Nvidia had thus once again taken the lead.
Before Friday's trading, Nvidia had been the world's most valuable listed company since June 2025, when it overtook Microsoft.
