An apartment fire caused a powerful bang in central Landskrona on Monday night.
The police initially handled the incident as a suspected explosion, but the rescue service was later able to determine that it was likely a so-called smoke gas explosion due to the fire.
No one was in the apartment and no one was injured in the house. Residents have been evacuated and the municipality has arranged for overnight accommodation in temporary facilities.
The alarm came at 00.30. The police are categorizing the incident as aggravated arson, but there are no arrests or suspects.
