A person has been taken to hospital, where the extent of the injuries is unclear.
The alarm came in at 23.40 on Thursday evening. During the night, a VMA, important message to the public, was issued, as people were urged to go indoors and close doors, windows and ventilation. On Friday morning, the rescue service announces that it will be withdrawn soon.
The smoke is no longer a problem and it will therefore be withdrawn shortly, says the alarm operator at the rescue service southeast.
The apartment building has three floors and it is currently burning in the building's attic according to the rescue service.
It will take some time, as it is quite prolonged, says the alarm operator at the rescue service.
A total of twelve apartments, in two of the building's four stairwells, have been evacuated. Those evacuated have been given accommodation at a hotel during the night, the rescue service reports.
