The Trump administration previously granted visas to Iran's president and foreign minister - as well as delegations - so they could attend the UN General Assembly in New York a few days ago.
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian left the United States the day after he delivered a speech at the United Nations last week, but Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi remained for indirect talks between the two countries.
Now, AP reports, citing two sources, that Rubio ordered Araghchi's delegation to leave the country several days early. The reason is said to be a lack of results in negotiations on the Iran war.
The Iranian foreign minister left the country early Tuesday.
