After five straight NHL losses, Los Angeles managed to squeeze out three points, largely thanks to Anton Forsberg's strong performance in goal.
The game marked the tenth shutout of his NHL career, according to NHL.com.
"I think everyone realizes at this point that every game going forward is crucial, we need every point we can get, and tonight I thought we fought really hard," Forsberg told NHL.com after the game.
His Swedish teammate Adrian Kempe closed out the match 2–0 with an empty-net goal at 19:22 of the third period.
