The investment round, led by Singapore-based investment company GIC, is the second largest ever in the tech sector after OpenAI's record of just over SEK 350 billion last year, according to CNBC.
The cash injection is based on a new valuation of Anthropic that landed at around 3.4 trillion kronor, more than double the 1.6 trillion the company was valued at as recently as September.
Anthropic was started in 2021 by former employees of OpenAI, and its service Claude is a competitor to ChatGPT.
