It wasn't an easy comeback for heavyweight Joshua. Albanian Kristian Prenga looked set for a real shock when he landed an uppercut on Joshua early in the first round in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
But the 36-year-old managed to get up from the mat and turned the fight around in the second round. A hard right hand knocked Prenga out and gave Joshua the victory.
Joshua took a long break after being involved in a car accident in December last year while visiting friends and family in Nigeria. Two people, both trainers and friends of Joshua, died when the car they were travelling in crashed into a stationary truck.
The match against Prenga was seen by many as a warm-up for the autumn's much-talked-about match against compatriot Tyson Fury.
