The journalist Fabrizio Romano, who is a specialist on transfer news, writes via his social media channels that Anthony Elanga is leaving Nottingham Forest for Newcastle.
The price for the transfer is expected to be around 55 million pounds, which corresponds to approximately 712 million kronor.
The midfielder is thus joining his national team colleagues Alexander Isak and Emil Krafth at the "magpies".
Romano further states that Newcastle has reached an agreement with Elanga on a contract for several years.
Elanga went to Nottingham Forest from Manchester United two years ago and has since then scored eleven goals and 21 assists in 82 matches for the club.
