The Chronicle reports that Anthony Elanga is expected to return to action around Christmas. The Newcastle winger injured his thigh in September and, according to the team's coach, Matthias Jaissle, is making progress in his rehabilitation.
"It was a tough injury, and he'll be out for a while. But he has a great attitude, so he might be back a little earlier than expected," Jaissle said, according to the Chronicle.
Elanga made a brilliant start to the Premier League season, scoring two goals in three matches.
Sweden face Bosnia-Herzegovina on November 14, before Poland await three days later.
