Senior prosecutor Carolina Carlquist does not want to comment on whether this means that the weapon found in connection with a larger police operation was directed at students at the school.
I don't want to provide information about that. What I can say is that the weapon is part of the threat, she says.
Six students aged 16-18 are detained for serious weapons offenses.
All of them have been in immediate proximity to this weapon, the prosecutor comments.
She expects to request that one or more of the detainees be remanded in custody, but is waiting for further questioning and investigative work during the day before making a decision.
The prosecutor emphasizes that it is not known what the purpose was of bringing the weapon to school, but at present, the police and prosecutor have not been able to see that it was about plans for a school shooting.
