The person was arrested and detained earlier this week, according to the Swedish Prosecution Authority. A teenage boy has previously been detained on probable cause on suspicion of murder.
It was on Sunday evening that a 19-year-old man was shot dead in the Kvarngärdet district of Uppsala.
A third person is suspected of involvement in the shooting and is being held on suspicion of aggravated protection of a criminal, according to local media. That person is also being remanded in custody, the Prosecution Service announced. A detention hearing will be held at Västmanland District Court on Saturday.
