Another High-Ranking Executive Leaves Boeing

Another high-ranking executive is leaving the heavily pressured American aircraft manufacturer Boeing. Information chief Susan Doniz is leaving her post with immediate effect, according to documents seen by the news agency Bloomberg.

Thus, five executives have left the company's management since Kelly Ortberg took over as CEO at the beginning of August after Dave Calhoun.

Boeing has, among other things, been hit by strikes, and in October, a loss of 6.2 billion dollars (equivalent to approximately 68 billion kronor) was reported for the third quarter.

A process is now underway to get rid of one in ten employees, equivalent to around 17,000 jobs.

One of many problems is that a settlement with the US Department of Justice after two fatal plane crashes, in Indonesia and Ethiopia in 2018 and 2019, respectively, has stalled.

Furthermore, several incidents have led to accusations of inadequate maintenance and safety work. Various congressional bodies have launched scathing criticism against the company.
