After the Swedish Public Employment Service introduced stricter requirements for providers of job-search assistance for the unemployed last year, many contracts have been terminated.

After a new round of review, an additional 37 suppliers with a total of 57 agreements around the country are being removed from the system.

Since last autumn, approximately 70 contracts have been terminated by the suppliers themselves, around half because they were at risk of termination, the Swedish Public Employment Service said.

Unemployed people who used any of the now-terminated providers will have the opportunity to choose a new job broker.
